Welcome to Fun Dog Photo Blog.

Like the blog title says, this blog is all about dogs and sharing fun dog photos... how to create them, the best practices, what is needed and more. 

Providing creative & thoughtful dog photographs that will bring joy is amazing and having photographs that will last a lifetime is so rewarding. 

Now, I know that it is fairly easy to take photos of your dog, but the topics shared in future blog posts will really help to improve the quality of your photos. 

With just a little information and knowledge, you can bump your image quality up a notch. It is easy to learn and so much fun to implement the next time you head out with your dog to take photos. You will have a better understanding about many photographic techniques and other photography related topics. You will be better prepared when a special or unique moment happens with your dog. You will see better opportunities that you hadn't thought of before. The best part is that you can use these suggestions to improve your photography anytime for any subject.

Photographic topics include: Equipment, Lighting, Locations, Techniques, Using a Flash, and more. 

Most topics described will be easy to understand and very quick to learn. Also, you don't need big fancy expensive equipment to take a great photo. 

There will be in depth posts also for those who want to delve even deeper. But I find that sometimes the simple, easy explanation to a photography technique is usually the best solution.

A little about me and why I may be able to help improve your dog photography.

I am Beth Sargent, the person behind the lens for the Website and Blog titled Fun Dog Photo.

Fun Dog Photo came about from the inspiration of photographing my own Golden Retriever named Star and a wonderful friend giving me encouragement.

I am a Professional Landscape and Nature Photographer living in the Bay Area of California. 

I wanted to photograph my dog with the same professional high quality that I put into all of my photographic work. I strive to take excellent images of my Golden Retriever by taking her out to really pretty locations in the best light. I bring my camera equipment out and lay on the ground taking photos of her. It is really quite fun for both of us. 

I have had a few people ask me how I take photos of my dog so this inspired me to move forward to create this website and offer my suggestions on how to photograph your dog. 

The Website Fun Dog Photo is also devoted to the purpose of sharing all information about our loving canine companions...our dogs.

So this blog will be devoted to everything dog related as well.

There is so much to share about. A lot of the topics will be from my own experience with my dogs both past and present.
